V. S. Rao Morisetty, MD, FACOG
Board Certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist
Dr. Morisetty
graduated from Osmania Medical College, affiliated with
Osmania University in Hyderabad, India, in May of 1985. He completed his Obstetric and Gynecologic residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, IL in 1997. Prior to coming to Decatur in 1999, Dr. Morisetty
was an attending physician in Crawfordsville, IN. He became board certified in 2001 and maintains annual certifications. He is also a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Morisetty
is a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and American Association of Physicians from India.
Melissa Wendell, RN, MSN, CNM
Certified Nurse Midwife
Melissa was born in Decatur, IL and received her ADN degree and Registered Nurse license in 2003. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Millikin University in 2008. She received her Master’s Degree in Nurse Midwifery from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2012. She is board certified by the National Midwifery Certification Board. Melissa is married to Shane and they have four children.
- Collaborates with Dr.
Morisetty and other health professionals as needed - Provides prenatal care, including first trimester ultrasounds
- Provides routine gynecologic care, including annual examinations
- Attends vaginal deliveries
- Prescribes medications including birth control
